Session with interpretation

Session Description

This event will spotlight the Building Climate Resilient Programme, a bold new regional initiative incubated in the UAE by Emirates Nature–WWF and leading Asia-Pacific experts. The programme harnesses nature-based solutions to strengthen climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction across the region. As the climate crisis intensifies, it positions the UAE as a hub for innovation, south-south collaboration, and scalable resilience action.

Through storytelling, expert dialogue, and voices from the field, the session will explore how the initiative links ecosystems, communities, and donors across borders. It will also highlight the value of aligning biodiversity, climate, and disaster agendas—such as NBSAPs, NAPs, and NDCs—to generate synergies that deliver more impactful and cost-efficient outcomes.

The programme translates ambition into action by working with multidisciplinary partners, including IFRC and WWF, to advance collaborative, south-south nature-based adaptation and disaster risk reduction solutions that inspire conservationists, philanthropists, and business leaders alike.
