Fitria is the Program Manager for Rights + Communities at WCS-Indonesia, where she leads the integration of human rights, gender equality, and social inclusion into conservation strategies across terrestrial and marine landscapes. With over decades of experience in community-based natural resource management, environmental and social safeguards, and rights-based approaches, she has worked extensively across Indonesia including West Papua and internationally, including Myanmar. She holds an MSc in Tropical Forestry and Management from the Technical University of Dresden and a BSc in Biology from Gadjah Mada University. Her work bridges science, policy, and practice to advance equitable, community-driven conservation outcomes.
