Mauricio ALBORNOZ INIESTA

Biography

Mauricio Albornoz Iniesta studied Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). His experience includes directing, executive producing, editing, screenwriting, and assistant directing. He also shares his knowledge as a professor at the Interamerican Open University.

Among his most recent achievements as a director are the documentary series Ara San Juan, the Submarine that Disappeared, available worldwide on Netflix, and the feature documentary A Song for My Land, internationally recognized in countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, Turkey, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina, earning more than fifteen awards at festivals including the Biarritz Latin America Festival and the Guadalajara International Film Festival, among others.

He has also directed several documentary series broadcast on Red Bull TV and Argentine television, such as Profiles, Up Close, La Gallera, Argentina Has Magic, Pride +, and Bestiary, among others. In addition, he has contributed as a screenwriter, assistant director, and editor on internationally awarded films such as Tiger The Tango of My Life, The Ways of Wine, The Duel of Wine, The Best Sommelier in the World, and Panash, all of which had commercial theatrical releases worldwide.
