Clara Lindhard Neltoft is a Climate Finance and Investment Analyst and Intervention Manager with the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), where she and her team work as regional conveners to scale investments into the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH). Her work focuses on mobilizing and channeling climate finance toward sustainable solutions that strengthen resilience and advance low-carbon development across this ecologically and socially vital region. Clara brings broad experience from international organisations, INGOs, and public sector agencies working at the intersection of climate, policy, and human development. Previously, she served as a Political Advisor with Plan International Denmark and worked with the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Utilities on the green transition of Denmark’s high-emission sectors—industry, agriculture, and transportation—covering policy development, political negotiations, and legislation. She has also engaged with climate and development issues in the HKH context, including work with the Danish Embassy in New Delhi and with an India-based start-up providing solar-powered solutions for smallholder farmers. Across her career, Clara has consistently focused on building cooperation among diverse stakeholders, navigating politically complex environments, and translating strategy into action.
