Session Description
This roundtable convenes leading stakeholders from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), Al Ain City Municipality, and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) to examine the impact of strategic collaboration on advancing environmental sustainability in the UAE. The discussion will showcase successful joint efforts in research, policy development, and community outreach, with a particular emphasis on climate resilience, nature-based solutions, and sustainable urban planning. Panelists will exchange best practices, lessons learned, and innovative strategies that connect academia, government, and local communities. Highlighting initiatives such as Plant the Emirates and UAEU’s youth-driven research and innovation programs, the session will underline the value of collective action in tackling environmental challenges.
