HEALTHY PLANET NOW: HEALTH & NATURE AT THE HEART OF CLIMATE ACTION

13/10/2025

IUCN Programme 2026-2029 Pavilion - R3

Why attend

Health, Nature and Climate. Three vital topics often siloed in negotiations and policies yet intrinsically connected and rooted by the stories and lived experiences of people and local communities worldwide. Join us in spotlighting these interlinks, guided by stories from Philippines, the DRC and UAE

Session Description

Inspired by Healthy Planet Now, a global initiative inviting people and communities to share their climate and health stories, and anchored by the One Health Movement and the Belem Health Action Plan, this high-level session brings together community leaders from the Philippines, the DRC and UAE in a fireside chat, sharing the impacts climate change has had on their environment and health and how the interlinks between Health, Nature and Climate provided innovative solutions. Attendees will explore health-centred solutions that restore nature and build community resilience through testimonies and stories from local communities and learn how they can leverage storytelling and film to amplify local and regional communities, their experiences and solutions, and give agency for others to act.
