Biography

Dr. Bui Duc Hieu is an expert in environmental health and climate change, currently serving as Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental health (2006), a master’s from Queensland University of Technology, Australia (2012), and a PhD in Climate Change from the Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change (2022). With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Hieu has held various key roles in the General Affairs Division, Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources. His work focuses on advancing international collaboration in environmental protection and sustainable development. Known for combining academic rigor with practical insight, he plays a pivotal role in shaping Vietnam’s environmental policy and global partnerships. His career reflects a deep commitment to addressing climate challenges through strategic cooperation and policy innovation.
