Alexandre RUTIKANGA

Biography

Dr. Alexandre Rutikanga is the Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI) . He was previously appointed as the Director General of the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB).For about 15 years, he served at various academic positions as a Lecturer and Researcher at the College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Rwanda (UR-CAVM) and a Director of Research, Consultancy and Cooperation at the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB). He worked as foreign expert at the Institute of Plant Protection of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences based in Beijing, China. Dr. Rutikanga holds a PhD in Agriculture (Plant Protection/Mycology) from the University of Aberdeen, UK; a Master of Advanced Studies in Integrated Crop Management from Neuchatel University, Switzerland; a Master of Science (Crop Science/Agricultural Entomology) from Makerere University, Uganda and a Bachelor of Science in Crop Production and Horticulture from the National University of Rwanda.
