Seungcheol CHOI

Biography

I received my Ph.D. in 2005 and joined the Korea National Park Service (KNPS) in 2006. I am currently serving at the National Park Academy of Korea, where I focus on disaster prevention, safety management, and mountain safety education. My work supports both rescue teams—such as mountain fire suppression and search-and-rescue units—and the general public, enhancing safety awareness and preparedness in national parks.

With nearly two decades of experience, I am committed to developing and delivering training programs, research, and policies that strengthen national park safety, reduce risks, and promote a culture of prevention in outdoor activities.
