Andréanne BLAIS

Biography

Andréanne Blais is a passionate biologist and an influential figure in the field of environmental protection in Quebec. She is the Executive Director of the Regional Environmental Council of Centre-du-Québec (CRECQ), where she has worked for over 15 years. She has specialized in the conservation of natural habitats and regional environmental issues. Under her leadership, the organization has experienced significant growth, expanding from a small team to nearly 20 employees, and has secured major government funding for the implementation of large-scale environmental projects. She is also the founder and president of Nature-Avenir, an organization dedicated to acquiring land for legal protection purposes. Her commitment is also reflected in her active participation in several provincial committees and environmental boards. In recognition of her impact, she was named a member of the Order of Drummondville in 2023.
