Haya Fahmawi is a dedicated wildlife conservationist and environmental advocate born in Amman, Jordan. With a Master’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Management, Haya has spent the past five years immersed in protecting biodiversity and promoting sustainable practices across the region.
Her passion for animal welfare and environmental stewardship began in childhood and has since evolved into a dynamic career spanning governmental agencies and both international and national NGOs. This diverse experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of conservation challenges and the collaborative strategies needed to address them.
Currently, Haya serves as a Project Coordinator at the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), where she leads the Eco-Solve project — a pioneering initiative focused on monitoring and combating wildlife cyber-crime. Her work bridges the gap between policy, technology, and grassroots engagement, aiming to safeguard vulnerable species from digital exploitation.
Haya firmly believes that awareness is the cornerstone of change. She is especially passionate about educating local communities and empowering youth, recognizing that informed and inspired generations are key to preserving our planet’s natural heritage.
