Claudia VELARDE PONCE DE LEóN

Claudia Velarde Ponce de León is a lawyer and director of AIDA's Territories Program. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Management, specializing in Management and Conservation of Natural Areas, from the University of León, Spain, and a Master's degree in Cultures and Sustainable Development in Latin America from the University of Agroecology Cochabamba, Bolivia. She has more than 15 years of experience working in environmental law, public policy development, participatory territorial governance, extractive industries, sustainable food systems, and environmental health.
