Why attend

Discover how conservationists worldwide use EarthRanger and Skylight to make faster, smarter decisions in the field and at sea. This session offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience with free, real-time technologies that enhance wildlife protection, marine monitoring, and collaborative conservation action.

Session Description

Skylight uses AI to analyze vessel activity and detect potential illegal fishing, helping protect marine ecosystems. EarthRanger combines sensor data (e.g. satellite data, GPS collars, camera traps, etc.), patrol reports, and field observations into one system, so conservationists can better protect wildlife and their habitats. Both platforms are already widely adopted by conservation organizations and governments worldwide, providing trusted solutions that help practitioners respond quickly, improve coordination, and make more informed decisions. The session will provide an overview of both platforms’ capabilities as well as hands-on training, giving participants the chance to see how these tools are applied in the field and explore practical use cases relevant to their work.
