Faye WEAVER

Biography

I am a global citizen and environmental scientist who is passionate about the research, assessment, protection and restoration of species and ecosystems. Currently based in the Biodiversity Standards and Indicators Programme at IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation in Málaga, Spain, my work predominantly focuses on biodiversity assessment and knowledge products, and I’m dedicated to contributing to innovative and impactful environmental initiatives. Having grown up in the Middle East, I am honoured and excited to have the opportunity to represent the IUCN Secretariat at the WCC in this region, and as a young member of the Secretariat, I am particularly looking forward to having interesting and productive conversations about the important role of youth in the conservation world.
