Explanatory memorandum
The leadership of IUCN in pushing for the global adoption of policies and recommendations specific in reducing the devastating impact that open propeller blades have on migratory endangered species to maintain marine biodiversity. By encouraging member states to act, and fostering collaboration with key international bodies, we can collectively work towards a safer, more sustainable future for marine life. As support to UNSDG 14, UN CBD and UNCBDF. This motion seeks to protect marine species from the dangers of ship propulsion systems in sensitive areas important to the survival of these endangered mega-fauna , ensuring that marine biodiversity remain resilient for generations to come.
