Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak

Biography

Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak is the UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment and a Member of the UAE Cabinet. She leads national efforts in environmental protection, biodiversity, climate action, food security, and sustainable agriculture, working with government entities, private sector partners, and local communities to achieve the UAE’s net-zero target by 2050.

Since her appointment in January 2024, HE has represented the UAE at major global forums, including COP29, COP16, and the UN General Assembly. She has also overseen key initiatives like the UAE Plant the Emirates National Programme.

HE serves on several national councils and advisory boards, including the UAE Council for Climate Action, the Emirates Food Security Council, and the Mohamed bin Zayed - Joko Widodo International Mangrove Research Centre.

Previously, she held leadership roles at the Ministry of Education and served as the UAE Government Spokesperson during the COVID-19 pandemic. HE holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Khalifa University and degrees in Computer Science from the University of Sharjah, along with a UAE Government Innovation Diploma.
