Session Description
During this session the updated publication “Protected and Conserved area governance and management – A resource book for practitioners in development cooperation” by GIZ with IUCN, and the new website will be presented. The Resource Book introduces practitioners to the world of protected and conserved areas for sustainable development and helps to navigate the wealth of tools and guidance available. An overview of the content with its over 60 descriptions of tools on planning, management, financing and assessment of protected and conserved areas is given. Afterwards, the host will navigate you through the website, followed by an interactive try-out and a Q&A. Participants are encouraged to use cases provided by organizers and participants to search for specific tools and case studies online. The participants are welcome to share their experience or suggestions of further tools and case studies for future updates of the Resource Book and to give their feedback.Organised by
