Why attend

Learn more about innovative and inclusive approaches to financing local community led conservation, and join the discussion on opportunities and challenges for taking them to scale.

Session Description

This panel session will dive into different models of local community led conservation finance models across Africa and Asia, including Wildlife Credits, a conservation performance payment mechanism that recognizes the role of local communities as custodians of their natural resources. Examples from the ground, alongside voices of local community members, will seed thinking. We will then discuss together opportunities and challenges to scale these approaches, and how they may be connected to emerging sustainable finance opportunities.
