Session Description
Governments, conservation organizations, and the private sector are increasingly recognizing the importance of protecting or enhancing ecological integrity for achieving climate and sustainability goals. However, there is a lack of clear definitions and guidance for IUCN Members, and members of IUCN Commissions on incorporating ecological integrity into planning and action. This session will fill this gap by bringing together a diverse group of experts from the IUCN-established Task Force on Ecological Integrity to lead a discussion on how ecological integrity can be defined, measured and used. This discussion will feed directly into an IUCN issues paper being developed by the Task Force.Organized by
