Why attend

Attend this session to make new connections, communicate about your own work and explore opportunities for transformative change to drive biodiversity conservation in Canada. The Nature 2030 IUCN Programme is a union-wide call to action, and this networking event is a chance to engage in and support the Canadian response.

Session Description

The Canadian Committee for the IUCN (CCIUCN) exists to bring people, organizations and ideas together with the common goal of protecting biodiversity, and this networking session is an opportunity to get to know and share discussion with other Canadians who will be on-site at the World Conservation Congress. Canada is a major player on the global conservation stage, and we have both the opportunity and the responsibility to drive the transformative change needed to respond to the unprecedented crises that our planet is facing. Innovation comes from collaboration, and CCIUCN intends for this networking event to be a catalyst for new relationships and initiatives that will support Canada’s contributions to the Nature 2030 IUCN Programme by delivering concrete and tangible positive impacts for People, Land, Water, Oceans and Climate.
