The WCPA Connectivity Conservation Specialist Group offers several publications for scaling up conservation and restoration of ecological connectivity. From general best practices for land and sea, to technical guidelines for infrastructure development, to resources for protecting Asian Elephants, come learn about the latest insights for connectivity.

Session Description

Leaders and members of the WCPA Connectivity Conservation Specialist Group will demonstrate how five main publications take general principles for connectivity conservation and apply them to specific challenges and species: WCPA Guidelines for Conserving Connectivity through Ecological Networks and Corridors; Marine Connectivity Conservation Rules of Thumb for MPA and MPA Network Design; WCPA Technical Report: Addressing Ecological Connectivity in the Development of Roads, Railways and Canals; Protecting Asian Elephants from Linear Transport Infrastructure; and Handbook to Mitigate the Impacts of Roads and Railways on Asian Elephants.
