Mahboobeh SHIRKHORSHIDI

Mahboobeh Shirkhorshidi is a  conservation scientist with over 15 years of international experience in research, policy, and project management . She is currently a Biodiversity Conservation Officer at IUCN, leading work on the European Red List, and contributing to pollinator conservation projects. Previously, she helped shape Scotland’s 30x30 framework and the launch of Nature30 sites, and also supported the planning, governance, management and monitoring of Peatland Action Programme in Scotland. With a strong background in project management and data, her career spans roles with research, public and non-governmental sectors with a strong focus on linking science, policy, and community resilience in conservation.
