Haizea JIMENEZ

Marine biologist specializing in the quantitative ecology of benthic communities across coastal temperate and tropical ecosystems. I bring extensive fieldwork expertise, strong taxonomic skills, and advanced statistical and analytical capabilities to understanding human-driven impacts on biodiversity.

After 15 years in academic research, I transitioned to the private sector as Head of Expertise Department at Surfrider Foundation Europe. I am currently leading the Overseas Programme at the IUCN French National Committee, where I supervise projects at the interface of science, conservation, capacity building and policy to support the protection and conservation of marine and terrestrial ecosystems in the overseas territories.
