Tanya BIRCH

Biography

Tanya Birch is a Senior Program Manager at Google in Geo, which powers the most helpful, trusted, and innovative digital representation of the real world for the user ecosystems we serve … to empower planetary sustainability and human resilience, now and for generations to come. She leads the Nature program which catalyzes positive environmental impact at scale using Google’s understanding of the real world. She works with leading public & private sector organizations in applying technology to address the protection, management and restoration of nature and monitoring threats to nature. Prior to Google, she researched and mapped human elephant conflict with the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society. She holds a BA in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
