Biography

Mr.
MONGHIEMO NGHAPO ,
Born on May 8, 1967 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
A biologist by training, he completed his university studies at the University of Kinshasa, as well as several other training courses in various fields. He has successively served as a technical advisor, member of the scientific committee, and research fellow at the NGO Mbou-Mon-Tour (MMT), a nature conservation and sustainable development organization for local communities, and a member of the IUCN and the Alliance for the Conservation of Great Apes in Central Africa (AGSAC). Responsible for the drafting and monitoring of several projects within MMT. Responsible for implementing habituation protocols and monitoring the Bolobo bonobos with MMT in the DRC. Supervises and supports interns and researchers at MMT research sites. Currently Director of Research and Biomonitoring at MMT and MMT focal point at AGSAC.
