Session Description

This event will explore capacity development, as well as knowledge, as part of IUCN’s catalytic role, as per the new Programme 2026-2029. More specifically, it will provide an opportunity to introduce the new IUCN KM Strategy with its 4 strategic priorities, seek feedback from Members and partners, and discuss implementation. The session will also showcase the IUCN Academy as a platform to support nature- and biodiversity-related skills development and lifelong learning, which is critical to empowering all actors to get involved in conservation, and explore the role of the Academy in implementing the KM Strategy, by helping to ensure that IUCN knowledge reaches its audience.

The session will include a mix of presentations as well as interactive "fishbowl" parts to solicit feedback and contributions.
