Medha BHASIN

Biography

Medha is a Programme Officer within the IUCN HQ, Business & Nature Team. She supports the management of collaborations with companies, including Stora Enso, Suzano and dsm-firmenich, to realise measurable nature positive outcomes aligned with the IUCN Programme targets. 

Before joining the IUCN, Medha worked for over six years in the UK House of Commons as a manager of various House Committees. She spent two years as Deputy Manager of the Environmental Audit Committee, scrutinising the UK’s environmental policy and managing inquiries into Biodiversity & Ecosystems and Sustainability of the Built Environment. She then moved to be Deputy Manager of the Foreign Affairs Committee, where she oversaw inquiries into environmental diplomacy, critical minerals, the Middle East and North Africa region and the UK’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. Her final role was as Manager of the Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy. In this role Medha managed a team scrutinising the UK’s national security policies, including inquiries into election security and ransomware.  Medha has a BA in Geography from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.
