Session Description
Natural World Heritage sites are some of the world's most iconic places. Monitoring their conservation outlook is a powerful gauge of our global nature conservation efforts. The IUCN World Heritage Outlook is the leading global assessment of natural World Heritage sites, tracking their conservation status, trends, analysing drivers of change and identifying the status of protection and management over the past decade. Since its launch in 2014, it has provided critical insights into the challenges and successes of protecting these iconic places, offering an invaluable knowledge tool. This session will delve deeper into the IUCN World Heritage Outlook 4 site assessments and demonstrate the wealth of information at your fingertips through the Outlook website. Together we will explore the available information about the conservation outlook, threats, benefits, state and trend of values and management effectiveness of sites. We will learn how the filter functions work to explore data since 2014.Partners
