Why attend
A Guide to Nature-based Leadership: An Ecological Approach offers a hopeful path to organizational development and leadership. The publication describes the emerging field of nature-based leadership, its importance, its characteristics, and how to implement it.
Session Description
Nature-based leadership is leadership that draws from nature itself. Looking to nature as a guide provides practical insights about how to nourish, sustain and grow healthy relationships among people in settings of a variety of sizes. The concepts are rooted literally in the successful living systems of bioregions and ecosystems of the living Earth. Nature-based leadership is an ecological leadership style that embodies principles from nature as a guide to human relationships. Nature-based leadership is inherently collaborative, regenerative and renewing. It differs significantly from current mechanistic and hierarchical leadership models and is a way forward to restore a healthy and dynamic balance between people and nature. Detailed text is offered to describe its attributes and relevance along with examples of its applications to both organizations and social movements. Appendices provide resources and examples of how to conduct workshops and courses to prepare others to embody its principles.Partners
