Antonis Antoniou Latouros

Biography

Antonis Antoniou Latouros is President of Aggregates Europe, having been re-elected in 2024 as the first person to serve a second consecutive term since the association’s establishment in 1987. He also serves as Vice President of the Global Aggregates Information Network (GAIN) and President of both the Cyprus Quarries Association and the Cyprus Association of Excavation, Construction & Demolition and Green Waste Recycling Companies.

He is the CEO of M.S.C. Latouros Investments Ltd, the largest aggregates group in Cyprus, comprising four quarry companies producing aggregates and gypsum, as well as a construction and demolition waste recycling plant. Under his leadership, the group is pioneering sustainability, biodiversity restoration, and circular economy initiatives, including Cyprus’ first comprehensive quarry biodiversity study and its first Corporate Sustainability Report.

Antonis plays an active role in European and global policy dialogues on sustainable resource management, climate adaptation, and nature restoration, representing the aggregates sector in discussions with EU institutions, governments, and international organizations. He strongly advocates for the essential role of aggregates in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the EU Green Deal, and nature restoration objectives, while promoting responsible quarrying that coexists with communities and biodiversity.

He is also a Board member of several private as well as public companies.
