Elise MARQUIS

Biography

Elise is a marine ecologist with a deep passion for studying coastal and pelagic ecosystems, as well as the dynamics of marine food web, with a particular focus on planktonic communities. For more than 17 years, Elise has been studying the ecosystems of the Arabian Gulf, and since June 2021, she has been leading the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. In this role, she oversees the center's missions and operations, which include scientific research, marine wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and educational initiatives.
