SITI ZURAIDAH ABIDIN

Biography

Siti Zuraidah Abidin leads the Peninsular Malaysia Terrestrial Conservation Programme at WWF-Malaysia, where she has spent over 17 years advancing forest and protected area conservation. Her work spans protected area management effectiveness, natural resource governance, and conservation financing. Her contributions span national biodiversity reporting, scientific research on protected areas, and storytelling through documentaries on Malaysia’s forests. An environmental engineer by training, she is a member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas and currently chairs the IUCN Green List Malaysia Expert Assessment Group.
