Lorena Arce

Biography

Lorena Arce Letelier is coordinator of the Biodiversity and Development Alternatives Program at the Observatorio Ciudadano in Chile. She is also member of Council in the ICCA Consortium and president of EAGL-Chile for the IUCN Green List. Her work focuses on supporting indigenous peoples and local communities in defending their marine and terrestrial territories, while promoting appropriate recognition of their contributions as custodians of nature and fostering sustainable alternatives to extractive development models.
