Sarah Roberts is an environmental journalist, author and presenter whose career began in animal behaviour with a focus on sharks. Her work has since taken her all over the world, from guiding grizzly bear tours in the Canadian wilderness to reporting on climate change technology in Iceland. She has investigated human - wildlife conflict with tigers in Sumatra and shark fishing in the US, bringing complex conservation issues to wider audiences through storytelling.
Sarah is also the author of ‘Somebody Swallowed Stanley’, part of an environmental children’s book series that was read on CBeebies Bedtime stories by Tom Hardy. She co-hosts ‘That’s Just Wild’, a weekly wildlife podcast combining science, storytelling and journalism. And she is also part of the onscreen experts on ‘All The Sharks’, a Netflix reality series in which teams compete to find as many different elasmobranch species to raise awareness of lesser known habitats and sharks. At the IUCN Congress, she is sharing her latest film, ‘The Hunt’ in partnership with Jamma International, which explores the controversial topic of Trophy Hunting from multiple angles.
