Camille Darbo is a young professional in the IUCN Food and Agricultural Systems Team, where she contributes to event coordination, communications, and programme implementation. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development, Environment, and Sustainability from the Geneva Graduate Institute, as well as a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from King’s College London.
Camille has experience in international organisations, having worked with UNEP at the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in communications and with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on early warning systems. She has also collaborated with NGOs on projects related to environmental education, green infrastructure, desertification, and women's empowerment.
Camille has lived in the United Kingdom for several years and completed an academic exchange in Lima, Peru. Her key interests include agroecology, forest biodiversity conservation, mountain ecosystems, and glaciology. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels and spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing and kite-surfing.
