Ony RAKOTOARISOA

Biography

Ony Rakotoarisoa has been the Director General of Madagascar National Parks since 2024. With over 28 years of experience in international cooperation, sustainable development, and environmental governance, she has led strategic missions for UNDP, the African Development Bank, and several bilateral partners across Africa.

She holds a degree in Geography and an Executive MBA from Paris Sorbonne Business School. Ony is recognized for her committed leadership, results-oriented vision, and ability to turn ideas into concrete actions.

As head of MNP, she is working to make the 43 protected areas a driver of inclusive conservation, local development, and green job creation. She advocates for a model of responsible tourism that reconciles biodiversity, communities, and economic growth.
