Won Wa Musiti BIHINI

I have been an Affiliate Consultant with Synchronicity Earth since 2018 for its Congo Basin Programme. I bring over thirty years of professional experience, including nearly twenty years of an international career focused on the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and management of programmes and projects for international and sub-regional development organisations. These include: the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the German Technical Cooperation (GIZ) providing specific support to the Central African Forests Commission (COMIFAC), the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), and the African Development Bank (AfDB) for the Regional Coordination of the Congo Basin Ecosystems Conservation Support Programme (PACEBCo).
Throughout my career, we have generated numerous green jobs through the programmes and projects we have designed and implemented. I have held various positions at both operational and strategic levels, including: Director and Coordinator of the major AfDB and ECCAS Programme on ecosystems across the ECCAS member countries; Technical Adviser to German Technical Cooperation supporting COMIFAC in the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the Convergence Plan; Regional Director for Central Africa (covering ten countries) at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN); Programme Coordinator at IUCN; Pan-African Coordinator of IUCN’s Sustainable Use of Natural Resources Initiative. I have also worked at the Congolese Institute for Nature Conservation (ICCN).
