Biography

Experience in working as a marine biologist and academic researcher in the Pacific, Asia and more recently in the Arabian Gulf region. Have worked across a diverse number of coastal marine ecosystems such as mangrove forests (Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa), isolated coral reef atolls (Nengonengo Atoll, Tuamotu Archipelago) and off reef shelfs of high volcanic islands (Moorea Island, Society Archipelago and Fiji). These have culminated to over 30 peer review publications in international journals. Also a Certified Environmental Impact Assessment Manager (CEIAM), OSHA (HSE) certified and maritime STCW certified with international Captains license for marine vessel operation (IYT, ICC (Europe), FMA Commercial (UAE)) of vessels up to 24m.
