This session will emphasize the role of cross-sectoral partnerships, bringing stakeholders from finance, policy, and science in powering the 2030 Marine Conservation Breakthrough, and showcase how coastal and marine ecosystems can drive progress on both global biodiversity and climate goals.

Session Description

Marine Nature-Based Solutions are central to deliver on both the Climate and Nature agendas.This event will feature an “Implementation is Now” presentation, followed by two panel discussions that will bring together governments, finance, private sector, and expert practitioners to showcase concrete opportunities and initiatives aimed at scaling up efforts to protect and restore coastal marine ecosystems on a global scale. The event will also provide updates from the Ocean Breakthroughs campaign –- specifically, the Seagrass Breakthrough, and the Saltmarsh Breakthrough - to share progress and connect the dots with the upcoming COP30 in Belem.
