The discussion will highlight why biobanking is essential for genetic rescue and population sustainability, while showcasing real-world applications—from Thailand to the USA, including breeding efforts for the Houbara and Indian bustards, as well as initiatives for plants and corals. Panellists will emphasize cross-taxon synergies and how laboratory advances translate into field conservation.
