Ms. Rachael Amongin is a dedicated advocate for environmental justice and community rights at the Africa Institute for Energy Governance (AFIEGO). With strong experience in public policy advocacy, communications, and community engagement, she supports grassroots movements in Uganda’s oil-affected regions to amplify their voices and demand accountability from government and corporations.
At AFIEGO, Rachael plays a central role in documenting community experiences, developing communication materials, and coordinating outreach campaigns that highlight the impacts of oil and gas projects on women, youth, and vulnerable groups. She also contributes to AFIEGO’s research and advocacy initiatives on renewable energy and sustainable development.
Rachael is passionate about empowering communities with knowledge to defend their land, environment, and livelihoods, while promoting clean energy and inclusive governance.
