Biography

I hold a background in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology with specialized training in ornithology. Previously, I served as Data Manager for the Biodiversity Information for Development (BID) unit at the A.P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute (APLORI), where I oversaw the Nigerian and West African node of the African Bird Atlas Project database, facilitating data sharing with researchers and publication to the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). Currently, I am the Coordinator and Species Survival Officer for the newly established IUCN SSC Center for Species Survival Nigeria, based at APLORI. In this role, I focus on species conservation in Nigeria and capacity building across West Africa, utilizing IUCN tools and methodologies.
