Sanot Adhikari

Sanot Adhikari is an environmental scientist with over 15 years of experience in climate change, water resource management, and environmental sustainability. As CEO of Alliance for Environment (AFE) Pvt. Ltd. and Chairperson of the Youth Alliance for Environment (YAE), he has been a leading voice in advancing nature-based solutions for water security and climate resilience in Nepal’s mountain ecosystems.

His research on spring sources, the lifeline of mountain communities has set the baseline scenario of Nepal and published in international journals, influencing both practice and policy. Mr. Adhikari has contributed to national environmental policies, served as an environmentalist in Nepal’s Parliamentary Committee (2074–2079 B.S.), and actively engaged in global climate negotiations processes. He continuously working on science-driven, community-focused approaches that integrate nature-based solutions into climate adaptation and environmental sustainability.
