Biography

Forestry professional with over 13 years of experience in natural resource management, protected area governance, and wildlife conservation in Bhutan. Currently serving as Chief Forestry Officer of the Trashigang Divisional Forest Office, one of the largest divisions under the Department of Forests and Park Services. Led the successful designation and declaration of Biological Corridor 9 (BC9), completing Bhutan Biological Corridor Complex (B2C2) circuit in eastern Bhutan.  Experienced in developing management plans for protected areas, drafting conservation action plans for priority wildlife species, and implementing community-based conservation initiatives. Strong track record in policy development, inter-agency coordination, and promoting sustainable livelihoods alongside biodiversity conservation.
