Ludovic Branlant is an experienced climate change and Nature-based Solutions (NbS) specialist with over a decade of expertise in project design, management, and policy integration across the Pacific and beyond. Since 2023, he has served as NbS Mainstreaming Adviser at the Pacific Community (SPC) where he spearheads the regional development and scaling up of Nature-based Solutions, and providing strategic support and technical guidance to governments, and partners to accelerate the uptake of NbS for climate resilience and biodiversity outcomes across the Pacific.
Prior to this, Ludovic coordinated SPC’s regional technical assistance for the Kiwa Initiative (2021–2023), supporting 19 member countries and territories in accessing funding and building capacity for NbS interventions. He also worked as Program Manager at the Delegation of the European Union for the Pacific (2016–2021), overseeing large-scale cooperation projects, and as Project Manager at the Lao Institute for Renewable Energy (2011–2014), where he led renewable energy and environmental initiatives in Southeast Asia.
