Martín ZORDAN

Dr  Martín Zordan is a veterinary‑trained conservationist who earned his degree in veterinary medicine before taking on leadership roles in wildlife care and advocacy. He served as Executive Director of the Latin American Association of Zoos and Aquariums (ALPZA) and as WAZA’s Conservation Coordinator before being appointed interim CEO and, in 2020, CEO of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Under his leadership, WAZA has strengthened global animal welfare standards, expanded its conservation partnerships, and elevated the role of modern zoos and aquariums in biodiversity protection.
