Biography

"Caroline Kerichu is a conservation and restoration specialist with over a decade of experience in biodiversity conservation, forest and rangeland landscape restoration, and climate-smart agriculture. She has managed a portfolio of large-scale restoration projects across Kenya’s drylands, integrating nature-based solutions and community enterprises to enhance livelihoods and climate resilience. Caroline brings proven expertise in project design, implementation, and adaptive governance, with a strong record of engaging communities, governments, and partners to deliver impact. She applies evidence-based approaches such as Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), water and soil conservation, including semi-circular bunds to address land degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate change, while advancing national and global restoration targets."
