Stella EGBE

Biography

I am Dr Stella Egbe, a trained Conservation Biologist and well rounded in ornithology, ecology and general environmental biology. Apart from my educational training, in the last 10 years, I have worked with the A.P Leventis Ornithological Research as a Biodiversity officer in a field project in Nigeria called the Omo-Shasha-Oluwa forest initiative. I have also been involved in different trainings and workshop including facilitating a n introductory ornithology projects for citizen science.

I currently lead the species program of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, implementing project to conserve and protect species within and outside our focal ranges which include elephants, lions, vultures, chimpanzee, mahogany, sea turtles and other species in the country. 

Activities I have led on to conserve species include field research, conservation education, media communication, collaborating with government agencies on their roles in species conservation, developing proposals and proffering solutions for support zone communities to promote conservation.
