Session Description

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) proudly presents Cycle 2 of its Postdoctoral Fellowship on Climate Action at the IUCN Conference 2025, as part of the UAEU Roadmap towards COP28 and Beyond (2023–26). Building on the strong outcomes of Cycle 1, the session will open with a highlight video featuring fellows’ innovative research addressing pressing climate challenges, including carbon capture technologies, plant-based meat alternatives, battery storage, climate economics, and sustainability policy. The fellowship attracts talented young researchers worldwide to join UAEU’s dynamic ecosystem and contribute to the UAE’s climate agenda. Objectives: Showcase real-world impact of Cycle 1 fellows. Announce the launch of Cycle 2 and invite global applications. Foster new international collaborations in climate and environmental research.
