Ricardo Jerozolimski is Brazilian, a forest engineer, specialist in Hybrid Languages and Education, and holds a master’s degree in Regional Development. He works as an environmental analyst at the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), with direct experience in protected area management since 2007.
Throughout his professional career, he has held leadership positions in different protected areas in Brazil. He was head of the Amanã National Forest in Pará, where he coordinated the development of the Management Plan; head of Abrolhos Marine National Park in Bahia, leading tourism and protection activities; and head of the Campos de Palmas Wildlife Refuge in Paraná, focusing on community engagement and scientific research.
He is currently based at Lagoa do Peixe National Park, in Rio Grande do Sul, where his work is mainly focused on biodiversity monitoring and public use initiatives.
